In the Pilastro building, an ambitious project for the new DC was realized. Technologically advanced, it is at the disposal of all Unipol group. In fact, after the buying of the ex Premafin Group, and facing the risk of duplicating the number of servers, the company has decided to take down the current informational structures and to realize a completely new one. It will adopt the most advanced technologies to reduce the consumption of the equipments and their cooling in the spots where they are placed.
Due to the peculiarity of the activities of Unipol Group Society, informational tools used by employees and by Data Elaboration centers are one of the major influent reality on energetic consumption and consequently on greenhouse gasses. The idea of fire prevention has started a series of solutions to secure buildings, both industrial and residential, and people working in them. To speak about REI compartmentalization firstly means to fractionalize the building in parts, to avoid a fire starting in a room and propagating in others.
