ETS® Flexy Collar is certified EI 120. It is made of a flexible bandage in graphite-based intumescent material, wrapped in a case of carbon fibre, highly adaptable. The collar must be installed around the pipe, closed with the given fixing terminals and the fixed to the wall. The device is certified for pipes until 160 mm of diameter, and can be laid singularly or on multiple pipes laid on passageway.ETS® Flexy Collar has also been certified on oblique pipes, until 50°, compared to the crossed wall, and offers the opportunity of an easy and fast compartmentalization.

Description

ETS® Flexy Collar is an innovative fireproof system for combustible services.
The system works as an intumescent collar. Its consistent advantage, compared to other collars, is that it is made of a simple and flexible bandage of intumescent material. The compound is made of graphite, wrapped in a case of carbon fibre, highly adaptable. ETS® Flexy Collar is provided with angular iron collars and metallic nogs, with which it is fixed to the wall.
It is sold in a lenght of 3 m and the metallic nogs are provided with it.
ETS® Flexy Collar can be cut and used according to the necessities. It is therefore not compulsory to have all the measures on the building site, but even with a single product it is possible to satisfy different requirements. It guarantees a consistent semplification of the organisation. Its flexibility allows to use it in case of pipes attached to one another, bordering the perimeter of the adjacent  pipes (see specific sheet).

Laying

Single combustible pipes up to 110 mm of diameter

Clean the pipes from maltha or fragments near the area where ETS® Flexy Collar will be installed. Wrap the pipes with Flexy Collar and approximately calculate the circumference. Cut the product and fix the two given terminals at the extremities. Firmly enclose the pipes and then insert the metallic short flanges given in congruent number. Follow the instructions in the dedicated sheet. Drill, insert the metallic nogs and firmly fix the device on the wall. Seal possible crackings or discontinuities with ETS® Seal

Combustible single pipes of 125 mm of diameter

Clean the pipes from maltha or fragments near the area where ETS® FLEXY COLLAR will be installed. Wrap the pipes with Flexy Collar and approximately calculate the circumference. Cut the product and fix the two given terminals at the extremities. Firmly enclose the pipes and then insert the metallic short flanges given in congruous number, according to the pipe diameter and the instructions reported in the dedicated sheet.
Successively, repeat the process with the other pieces of bandage, effectively doubling the protection by following the device lenght sense. (NOT THE THICKNESS). The device will be 100 mm high and then insert the given long metallic flanges. Drill, insert the metallic nogss and firmly fix the device on the wall. Seal possible crackings or discontinuities with ETS® Seal.

Abreasted or overlapping combustible pipes, single, up to 110 mm on dedicated hole

Clean the pipes from maltha or fragments near the area where ETS® Flexy Collar will be installed. Wrap the pipes with Flexy Collar and approximately calculate the circumference. Cut the product and fix the two given terminals at the extremities. Firmly enclose the pipes, that form an 8, adapting the protective to their real radius. Insert the given metallic short flanges, which are provided in congruous number, according to the pipe diameter and the instructions reported in the dedicated sheet.
Drill, insert the metallic nogs and firmly fix the device on wall. Seal possible crackings or discontinuities with ETS® Seal.

Combustible abreasted or overlapping pipes, laid on hole with up to 110mm of diameter

In this case you need to restore the wall with ETS® Paste (see product sheet), trying to smooth the part where ETS® Flexy Collar will be applied. Once ETS® Paste clotted, clean the pipes from mortar or fragments and enclose the pipes in the bandage. Calculate approximately the circumference, cut the product and fix the two terminals given to the extremities. Firmly enclose the pipes, adapting the protective along the real radius, that form an 8. Insert the metallic short flanges given in congruous number, according to the diameter of the pipes and the instructions in the dedicated sheet.
Drill and insert the metallic nogs and firmly fix the device on the wall. The possible major hole, not occupied by the pipes, must be closed with a double ETS® Panel, counterposed and collimating to both wall sides. Seal possible crackings or discontinuities with ETS® Seal.
